Student Life

The DigiPen Office of Student Affairs facilitates a variety of on-campus events that promote diversity and inclusion of our LGBTQ+ community. In the past, Student Affairs has hosted workshops and events that promote LGBTQ+ health and wellness, raise awareness of underrepresented LGBTQ+ identities, and support student groups that promote LGBTQ+ culture and identity.

PRISM

The People Respecting Individuals and Sexual Minorities (PRISM) Club serves as DigiPen’s student-run LGBTQ+ club and gay-straight alliance. PRISM promotes tolerance and respect for all gender identities and sexual orientations on the DigiPen campus and in the entertainment industry. PRISM hosts the DigiPen Drag Show during the fall semester and Pride Week during the spring semester. This club is open to all students, and allies are encouraged to drop by.

DigiPen Housing, LLC

DigiPen Housing, LLC is committed to providing a safe and secure living environment for any DigiPen student, regardless of sexual orientation, gender identity, or gender expression. DigiPen Housing administrators strive to create a community where differing identities are supported and nurtured during a student’s time at DigiPen Institute of Technology. The housing staff are trained to respond to any situation, including mediating disputes between roommates, assisting students who are struggling with their identity, and helping students navigate and connect with DigiPen’s administration. DigiPen Housing also provides an Inclusive Housing option in which two or more students share a multiple-occupancy apartment, in mutual agreement, regardless of each student’s sex, gender, gender identity, or gender expression.
