Congratulations, new Dragons!

Start your DigiPen journey with a triumphant roar by joining your new cohort at New Student Orientation (NSO)! This day-long event welcomes all incoming undergraduate students to DigiPen’s campus for an opportunity to meet faculty and current students, learn about campus resources included in your tuition, and receive useful tips that every new student should know.

For students beginning their DigiPen education in the Spring 2025 semester, please plan on joining us on campus by attending our mandatory one-day NSO session on Sunday, January 5.

Step 1: Pre-Orientation Program

Prior to NSO, complete the Pre-Orientation Program. This required web content gives you an overview of the DigiPen student experience and provides important information regarding campus support services, academic advising, tuition and fees, and a checklist of tasks to complete before the in-person NSO. All students are required to complete the online portion of NSO.

Make sure you complete these modules at least 72 hours prior to in-person NSO on Sunday, January 5.

Step 2: Sexual Violence and Prevention (Title IX) Training

It’s important to complete this session at least 72 hours prior to NSO or before classes begin. This training helps you understand what sexual violence is, the effects that it can have, provides information to help you develop the skills necessary to promote and maintain healthy relationships, to reduce risk, and to support victims of sexual violence. The workshop provides real-life scenarios that help you understand what consent is and is not and how to prevent sexual violence. A link to the training can be found in your Pre-Orientation Program checklist.

Step 3: On-Campus New Student Orientation

Join us for New Student Orientation on campus to receive your DigiPen badge, get a campus tour, and connect with your incoming cohort members! The format of NSO is designed to convey information intended to be used for student success at DigiPen. NSO will conclude with a breakout session with upper class student leaders who are Orientation Leaders (OLs). Lunch is included during NSO, and light breakfast items will also be provided.

Attendance at NSO is mandatory. To register, fill out the New Student Orientation Registration form on CampusGroups.
