Congratulations, new Dragons!
To start your journey at DigiPen on the right foot, we would like to invite both undergraduate and graduate students to New Student Orientation (NSO). During NSO, you will have an opportunity to meet both new and current students, hear from your program directors and faculty, and receive some useful tips that every new student should know.
We are working diligently over the next few months to create a New Student Orientation experience that fully immerses you in DigiPen while ensuring the health and wellness of all our students, staff, and faculty.
Please keep checking your email and referring to this page regularly as we make updates to the schedule and information.
Online New Student Orientation
This required web content will give you an overview of the DigiPen student experience and details about campus support services. This is required for all students to access.
You will be able to access the digital portion of orientation starting in June 2023. The content will include information about academic advising, tuition and fees, student life at DigiPen, and more!
Make sure you complete these modules at least 72 hours prior to attending your in-person NSO session.
Sexual Violence and Prevention (Title IX) Training
It’s important to complete this session at least 72 hours prior to NSO or before classes begin. This training helps you understand what sexual violence is, the effects that it can have, provides information to help you develop the skills necessary to promote and maintain healthy relationships, to reduce risk, and to support victims of sexual violence. The workshop provides real-life scenarios that help you understand what consent is and is not and how to prevent sexual violence. A link to the online Title IX training will be available in June 2023.
On-Campus New Student Orientation
On-campus NSO activities will be held on August 23-25. Attendance at NSO is required for new students, so please mark your calendars!
Orientation Schedule
The New Student Orientation committee is working diligently to develop the on-campus NSO schedule. Check back this summer for more information! Here’s a quick look at some of the groups who will share information during the upcoming NSO:
