Congratulations, new Dragons!
To start your journey at DigiPen on the right foot, we would like to invite both undergraduate and graduate students to New Student Orientation (NSO). During NSO, you will have an opportunity to meet both new and current students, hear from your program directors and faculty, and receive some useful tips that every new student should know.
We are working diligently over the next few months to create a New Student Orientation experience that fully immerses you in DigiPen while ensuring the health and wellness of all our students, staff, and faculty.
Please keep checking your email and referring to this page regularly as we make updates to the schedule and information.
Online New Student Orientation
Access your Online New Student Orientation here. This required web content will give you an overview of the DigiPen student experience and details about campus support services. This is required for all students to access.
Make sure you complete these modules at least 72 hours prior to attending your in-person NSO session.
Sexual Violence and Prevention (Title IX) Training
It’s important to complete this session at least 72 hours prior to NSO or before classes begin. This training helps you understand what sexual violence is, the effects that it can have, provides information to help you develop the skills necessary to promote and maintain healthy relationships, to reduce risk, and to support victims of sexual violence. The workshop provides real-life scenarios that help you understand what consent is and is not and how to prevent sexual violence. Visit our training page to complete the session.
NSO Fall 2022 Checklist
Please use the NSO Fall 2022 Checklist to make sure that you are ready for fall 2022!
On-Campus New Student Orientation
On August 24-26, 2022, we will be hosting on-campus events that will include opportunities for you to receive your DigiPen badge, get a campus tour, and connect with your incoming cohort members. Attendance at NSO is required for new students, so please mark your calendars!
If you are an undergraduate student, you will be scheduled to attend one of the sessions on either Wednesday or Thursday at 9:30 a.m. based on your last name. All graduate students should attend orientation on Thursday. On Friday, join all your fellow students for a welcome event at 9:30 a.m.
Meeting Your Orientation Leaders
During New Student Orientation, current DigiPen students will serve as your Orientation Leaders (OLs). These student leaders are here to guide you through NSO, answer any questions, and share information that will be valuable during your time at DigiPen.
Family and Friends
The family and friends of DigiPen’s newest Dragons are an important part of the DigiPen community. We welcome you to attend a Family and Friends orientation on the same day as your student! If your student is assigned to attend NSO on Wednesday, August 24 (last names A – L), join us on Wednesday. If your student is assigned to attend NSO on Thursday, August 25 (last names M-Z and graduate students), join us on Thursday. Please visit our Local Accomodations page for hotel information.
Lunch will be provided for all guests each day of NSO.
