Congratulations, new Dragons!

To start your journey at DigiPen on the right foot, we would like to invite all undergraduate and graduate students to New Student Orientation (NSO). During NSO, you will have an opportunity to meet both new and current students, hear from your program directors and faculty, and receive some useful tips that every new student should know.

For students beginning their DigiPen education in the Spring 2024 semester, please plan on joining us on campus by attending our one-day NSO session on Friday, January 5.

NSO Schedule

  • Prior to NSO

    • Online New Student Orientation
    • Title IX Training
  • Friday, January 5, 2024

    • Check-In: 9 a.m.
    • New Student Orientation 10 a.m. — 4 p.m.

Step 1: Online New Student Orientation

Access your Online New Student Orientation here starting December 13. This required web content gives you an overview of the DigiPen student experience and provides important information regarding campus support services, academic advising, tuition and fees, and a checklist of tasks to complete before the in-person NSO. All students are required to complete the online portion of NSO.

  • Make sure you complete these modules at least 72 hours prior to attending your in-person NSO session.

Step 2: Sexual Violence and Prevention (Title IX) Training

It’s important to complete this session at least 72 hours prior to NSO or before classes begin. This training helps you understand what sexual violence is, the effects that it can have, provides information to help you develop the skills necessary to promote and maintain healthy relationships, to reduce risk, and to support victims of sexual violence. The workshop provides real-life scenarios that help you understand what consent is and is not and how to prevent sexual violence. A link to the training can be found in your pre-NSO checklist.

Step 3: On-Campus New Student Orientation

Join us for New Student Orientation on campus to receive your DigiPen badge, get a campus tour, and connect with your incoming cohort members! Attendance at the in-person NSO is mandatory. To register, fill out the New Student Orientation Registration form. You’ll need your login credentials you used during the application process to sign in. Registration will be open until Thursday, January 4.

The NSO Committee is working on finalizing the schedule for spring start students. NSO is required for all incoming students, and more information will be added to this page when details are finalized.
