Number of Credits and GPA

The Bachelor of Fine Arts in Digital Art and Animation requires completion of at least 126 credits with a cumulative GPA of 2.0 or better. The program usually spans eight semesters of 15 weeks each, or four academic years. See the sample course sequence for more information.

Grade Requirements

Students must receive a grade of “C-” (or 1.7 quality points) or higher in all courses for the Bachelor of Fine Arts in Digital Art and Animation degree program.

Six credits from the following: ANI-3302, ANI-3502, CG-3102, and CG-3202.

Three credits from the following: ANI 3303, ANI 3503, CG 3103, and CG 3203.

Digital Art and Animation Electives

Nine credits from ART, ANI, FLM, or CG courses at the 2000 level or above.

Nine credits from ART, ANI, FLM, or CG courses at the 3000 level or above.

Film and Game HistoryFLM 115 or DES 205.
General EducationThree credits of General Education courses, including Humanities, Social Sciences, Mathematics, Music, and Natural Sciences.
General StudiesCOL 101.
Humanities and Social Sciences

ENG 116 and COM 250.

Three credits of ENG courses at the 150 course-level or higher.

Six credits of Humanities and Social Science courses.

Open ElectivesSufficient additional credits to meet the required 126 semester credits for the program.
Projects

PRJ 1000

Twelve additional credits of Project courses.

Eight additional credits of Project or Internship courses.

Science

Three credits of Computer Science courses.

Three credits of Natural Science courses.
