Our BFA in Digital Art and Animation degree program welcomes creatives of all experience levels to develop their skillset, incorporate industry‑standard software into their workflow, and push their artistic potential. You’ll start by building a solid foundation in the traditional arts focused on observational drawing, perspective, tone, color, composition, and animation. Then you’ll apply those fundamentals to 3D modeling, digital sculpting, visual effects, lighting, texturing, simulations, technical art, and 3D animation. As you progress through the program, you’ll repeatedly join multidisciplinary teams and work alongside programmers, designers, and audio specialists to build a playable video game or a 3D animated film. After graduation, these projects — along with your portfolio — will serve as a ready‑to‑go materials showcasing your experience for jobs in game, animation, other computer graphics‑related industries.
Students leave our four‑year undergraduate art program as artists with strong skills covering classic and modern concepts and a willingness to embrace technology. This forward‑thinking mindset can be applied to the game and animation film industries and beyond.”

I always find it really exciting to bring student artists into a game team. I want them to understand there are so many ways for them to contribute to a team, and that the capacity to create a collaborative environment is key for successful projects.

The CS 115, technical art, and rigging courses all specifically guided the formation of my skills into a set that was useful to the basic understanding of what a professional rigger does and how to approach rigging and scripting problems on a foundational level.
