Student Games

DigiPen students apply their knowledge each year to a series of increasingly complex, multidisciplinary game projects. These projects challenge students to build their own tools and technology from the ground up as they collaborate with their peers on a large, shared codebase. By leveraging the power of solid teamwork, careful planning, and communication, they learn firsthand how to create compelling interactive experiences that strive for amazing art direction, sophisticated design, and technical excellence.

Remanence

Combat

Master the sword in a world devastated by an apocalypse. Rise up against the robotic cult and seek revenge in this first-person Soulslike.

Knight Light

Combat

Defend a starlit town from nightmarish creatures attempting to shatter the mystical barrier safeguarding the sleeping residents. Save their dreams before it’s too late!

Knuckle Knockout

Party

Smack and launch opponents using the Extend-o fist mechanic to punch your way to victory in this action-packed 2D platformer fighting game.

Chlorofell

Combat

Utilize tight maneuvers, specialized ammo, and an arm cannon built from scraps of the mechanical scourge threatening your home to tear through their compound and eliminate anything that moves.

Student Animations

Applying all of the skills and techniques they have learned in the classroom, students in the BFA in Digital Art and Animation program tackle a series of short film projects as a part of their program coursework. In addition to showcasing their technical mastery of digital tools and artistic fundamentals, these films give students the chance to discover what it means to evoke emotion through visual storytelling and bring characters to life.

Student Art

To excel in the digital arts requires more than innate talent. It takes years of discipline, study, and a keen understanding of the visual language found within nature, architecture, and the world around us. With time and dedication, students in the BFA in Digital Art and Animation program gain not only the ability to imagine new worlds altogether, but also the skills and insights to bring those ideas to life through captivating imagery. These are just a few fine examples of what our students have created at DigiPen.
