Every year, DigiPen’s Plato Auditorium transforms into a celebration of student creativity and teamwork at the annual DigiPen Student Showcase. It’s where months of collaboration, innovation, and Dragon spirit culminate in the premiere of original interdisciplinary projects — including trailers for all-new games and animated films crafted by student teams across campus.

DigiPen’s 2025 Student Showcase put all that Dragon-forged fun front and center once again, featuring a dazzling display of games that included stylish first-person brawlers and soulslikes, virtual reality mech and dragon-riding sims, and heaps of harrowing horror experiences. On the animation side, student films told whimsical and heartfelt stories about magical toys, wild elevator rides, and unlikely friendships between robots and rats.

Also debuting this year was Playfest, a lively new open house event immediately following the DigiPen Student Showcase. Friends, family, and industry pros were invited to play 2025’s new titles on campus, experience fresh animated films and art projects, and meet the student teams that made the magic happen — all over free slices of pizza.
