DigiPen Institute of Technology | Special Guest Speaker: Pinar Toprak, Composer Special Guest Speaker: Pinar Toprak, ComposerSaturday, March 6, 2021 - 11:00am to 12:00pm  DigiPen welcomes composer Pinar Toprak for a special online guest talk. Toprak’s career has included contributing music to major films (Captain Marvel, Justice League), video games (Fortnite), and television projects (Stargirl, Krypton). In addition to three wins in the International Film Music Critics Association Awards, her work on HBO’s McMillions earned her a Primetime Emmy nomination for Outstanding Music Composition for a Documentary Series or Special. Off screen, Toprak also recently created the new main theme song for Walt Disney World’s EPCOT theme park. During the event, Toprak will answer questions submitted through our live chat platform, so if you’ve ever wondered about what it takes to work as a professional composer, this is a great opportunity to find out. This talk is free and open to the public.
