We don’t want to waste a single moment of our students’ time at DigiPen, so our academic degree programs are structured as an intensive series of courses and projects. This means incoming students enter their chosen program from the very first day they set foot on campus. As a prospective student, you may be wondering which degree is right for you. That’s what the Degree Program Deep Dive Series is for.
Each session of this interactive online event gives you an in-depth look at our approach to education presented by the faculty, staff, and students who know it best. Find out what each degree program’s application process is like, the types of projects its students produce, the careers it could prepare you for, and more. You’ll also have a chance to ask any questions you have about the program in real time.
If you know what program interests you already, a Deep Dive session is the perfect way to immerse yourself in the experience. If you’re still undecided, you can attend as many sessions as you need to understand what each program offers.
Keep watching this page for future Deep Dive Series dates and times.
DigiPen Degree Program Deep Dive Series Schedule
Welcome to DigiPen with President Claude Comair
This two-hour Deep Dive session offers a broad overview of DigiPen itself and is especially helpful for students and families who haven’t attended one of our online or in-person events before.
The Saturday session can include:
Degree Program Sessions
Each 90-minute session covers a degree program (or group of programs) in detail, with members of the faculty giving you everything you need to understand the differences between the programs and how they can prepare you for your future career. Each session is capped with a Q&A segment featuring students currently in the program. Sunday’s session covers our two advanced master’s degree programs, while the Monday through Thursday sessions include all bachelor’s degree programs. If you want to know what you should be doing right now to prepare for this program (including portfolio requirements, if applicable) be sure to join us for these sessions.
Project-Based Learning and Closing Remarks with President Claude Comair
As a DigiPen student, you could soon be participating in designing and producing several major projects such as working video games, animated films, and more. Our students learn to collaborate in cross-disciplinary teams involving several different majors, which accurately simulates the professional production process found in the real world. During this session, DigiPen faculty will outline this educational philosophy and explain why it’s been so successful in preparing our graduates for their future careers.
To wrap up our Deep Dive Series, DigiPen Founder and President Claude Comair will offer a closing talk and take your questions live.
