One of the many resources available to students, the Academic Advising and Tutoring Center (AATC) at DigiPen Institute of Technology is used for individual and group tutoring sessions. It is also an excellent place for students to gather to establish study groups. The AATC is located on DigiPen's second floor next to the Edison computer lab.

Hours of Operation

Fall/Spring Semester: Monday through Friday, 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Summer Session: Monday through Friday, 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Tutoring

The Academic Advising and Tutoring Center offers free tutoring for students who want to improve their academic performance. Students may request individual tutoring or may form groups to improve their knowledge of a variety of topics useful to all majors. Tutors are trained to enhance the understanding of core class concepts, answer questions, and assist with exam preparation.

Subjects covered at the Academic Advising and Tutoring Center:

  • 100- and 200-level Computer Science
  • 100- and 200-level Math
  • 100- and 200-level Physics
  • English
  • 2D and 3D Art
  • 100- and 200-level Game Design
  • Music theory

Drop-In Tutoring

The Academic Advising and Tutoring Center offers free drop-in tutoring sessions for students who want to improve their academic performance. Tutors are trained to enhance the understanding of core course concepts, answer questions, and assist with exam preparation.

Drop-in tutoring is available for different subjects depending on the day and time. Check the schedule posted outside the AATC for the latest schedule and details on when the AATC offers tutoring for each subject. Alternatively, contact library[at]digipen[dot]edu to receive an electronic schedule.

Scheduled Tutoring

If you are unable to attend a drop-in tutoring session due to a scheduling conflict, please contact the AATC to make an appointment for a one-on-one tutoring session at another time.

Students may schedule one-on-one tutoring sessions by submitting a request using the following form. Note that submitting a tutoring request does not guarantee that a tutor will be available during the time(s) specified. After submitting the form, students can expect a reply in 1-2 business days.
