Selecting a college is no easy task. Today more than ever, students and families must take into consideration a wide array of factors ranging from affordability and quality of education to measurable student outcomes for the schools they are looking to attend. For example, what is a school's track record of preparing students for successful careers within their field of study?

At DigiPen Institute of Technology, we take these outcomes very seriously. But how do we stack up against other schools? Based on the U.S. Department of Education's College Scorecard, quite well!

DigiPen Salary Outlook

The most recent data* shows that the average salary after attending DigiPen is $79,400, which is $36,000 above the national average. That puts DigiPen at #1 for all schools in Washington State, #25 for all colleges and universities (more than 4,000) nationwide, and #9 among U.S. schools with computer and information science programs for that particular metric.

*Based on College Scorecard data from Sept. 13, 2016.

Making an Informed Decision

While demonstrated student outcomes should factor into any student's college search, itís not the only thing to consider.

DigiPen is unique. Many schools talk about interdisciplinary or project-based education, however, at DigiPen they are the driving forces behind the educational experience we provide. Students are challenged to solve problems and think critically from day one. To be successful, students must be passionate, driven, and resilient. For these and other reasons, DigiPen is not the right fit for everyone, and we believe that students and their families should be well-informed before making the decision to attend.

In addition to checking out the information provided through the College Scorecard and the consumer information available on our website, we encourage students to do their own research, speak with current students or alumni, and (if possible) visit campus and attend a few classes
