Housing Costs for 2020-2021
Prices are per resident for the entire 8-month academic year, but do not change if a roommate vacates the apartment. Each resident must pay a $300 deposit for their housing application. Once assigned an apartment, deposits are not refunded if an applicant cancels. Deposits are refunded if an applicant defers or if we are unable to place the applicant.
|Cost Per Year, Per Person||Configuration||Notes|
|$7,650||2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, 5 residents||The triple bedroom is larger than the double, but all residents pay an equal amount.|
|$7,800||2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, 4 residents|
|$8,060||2 bedrooms, 1.5/2 bathrooms, 4 residents||This standard room rate also applies to overflow housing and certain DSS accommodations.|
As of March 2020, we are pleased to offer the option to buy out your own individual bedroom for privacy and/or convenience. Please email us at housing[at]digipen[dot]edu if any of these options interest you. Please note, to buy out your bedroom, you must pay for the entire Academic Year up front, instead of by semester:
- For the non-master bedroom in a 5 resident, 2 bedroom, 2 bath space: $1,913 per month ($957 monthly rate x 2) = $15,305 per year
- For the non-master bedroom in a 4 resident, 2 bedroom, 1 bath space: $1,950 per month ($975 monthly rate x 2) = $15,600 per year
- For the non-master bedroom in a 4 resident, 2 bedroom, 1.5/2 bath space: $2,016 per month ($1,008 monthly rate x 2) = $16,128 per year
