The economic fallout from COVID-19 has had an unprecedented impact on the finances of students and their families. We have heard from many students who are facing uncertainty in their ability to fund their education. We are doing everything we can to alleviate some of these concerns, including offering new sources of financial assistance (both through federal funding and DigiPen itself) and streamlining the process to apply for financial aid.
Applications for financial aid will continue to be administered on the current deadline schedule. Students who have found that their financial situation has changed may qualify for new and expanded sources of funding for their education at DigiPen — in particular, the Bridge Scholarship, Shield Scholarship, and DigiPen Momentum Program (see also: Momentum Program Details). Please contact the Office of Financial Aid with any questions.
Retake Tuition Coverage
We know that some students have experienced personal hardships this spring which may have affected their academic performance. Continuing students who received an Emergency Withdrawal or Emergency No Credit grade in a course during spring 2020 is eligible for 100% emergency retake tuition coverage if they choose to retake that course. Students wishing to claim retake tuition coverage can do so by applying for relief from the DigiPen Momentum Program.
