As the situation around COVID-19 (caused by the novel coronavirus) continues to evolve, we would like to communicate steps we are taking to ensure the health and safety of the DigiPen community, prospective students and their families, and the public at large — see also: Upcoming Events and Admissions Information sections below.
To comply with Washington state’s Stay Home – Stay Healthy Order, beginning March 25 at 5:30 p.m., DigiPen’s Redmond campus facilities will be closed to the public and many employees. Students will still have access to campus facilities and computer labs. We encourage students to stay home and minimize their presence on campus.
DigiPen is continuing to 1) ensure as best we can the well-being of the members of our college community and the public; and 2) guarantee that the quality and rigor of our educational experience remains strong and continues to meet the goals of our degree programs.
Faculty continue to teach all of our classes, though course instruction has been conducted online since the week of March 9 and is planned to continue through the spring and summer semesters. We’ve asked all staff who can work remotely to do so. Our cleaning staff is continually working to clean all campus surfaces and areas, including countertops, handrails, and door handles.
While on-campus visits are currently suspended, there are several online events coming up that can help you discover more about the school. Additionally, our admissions representatives would be happy to set up a one-on-one online meeting with you. Feel free to contact us at outreach[at]digipen[dot]edu to schedule a meeting.
We are accepting and processing applications for enrollment in the Fall 2020 incoming class on the current deadline schedule. Our Admissions office is open and can answer your enrollment-related questions. Please see the Admissions Information section below for admissions deadlines and financial aid information.
For those who are on campus, your health is our highest priority. In addition to the heightened sanitation measures at our facilities, we have also limited large gatherings (see Upcoming Events below). We are currently working directly with Public Health – Seattle & King County and the Washington State Department of Health, and are taking guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
To prevent the spread of COVID-19, we recommend the following actions for members of our community and the public:
In addition to this page, current students, faculty, and staff should also continue to monitor internal communication channels for other information pertinent to the campus community.

As stated above, applications for enrollment in the incoming class of Fall 2020 will continue to be accepted and processed during this time.
The Office of Admissions would like to reassure applicants that we remain open to receive application materials and are available to answer questions regarding their application. We know that some applicants may currently have limited ability to complete their Fall 2020 application, as some schools and testing centers may be closed due to COVID-19. Applicants who fall into this category should contact us immediately at (425) 629-5001 or admissions[at]digipen[dot]edu so we may advise them on alternative ways to submit application materials.
