Crazy Cross

Sorry, No Downloads

***2003 IGF Finalist, Student Showcase***

Crazy Cross was created by students in their 7th and 8th semester.

Crazy Cross is the sequel to the 2000 smash hit Crazy Lou 64, a freshman game project done at the DigiPen Institute of Technology. Crazy Lou 64 was a 2D top-down role-playing game set in the wacky world of Bluemond. The game employed creative spoofs of popular culture (both American and Japanese) to further the plot and eventually land the main characters, Crazy Lou, Tiny Jim, and Nurse Emma, at the fortress of Macroshaft, the final level. In the end, the heroes defeat the villain, Gill Bates, and restored peace to the world.

Crazy Cross picks up at the end of Crazy Lou 64's storyline, right before the climactic final battle. This time, however, things unfold differently after the battle has ended as the main character suddenly wakes up in the same hospital in which Crazy Lou 64 began. As Lou confronts the familiar characters from the first game he quickly realizes that something went horribly wrong at Macroshaft. Determined to find out, Lou embarks on a grand adventure that will take him through frozen wastelands, jungles, and even space.

***2004 International Games Festival Winner***
*** ***Innovation in Game Design*** ***

Bontãgo is the first student game to participate and win an award at the professional level of the International Games Festival, surpassing over 100 entrants to win Innovation in Game Design

Developed by Juniors at DigiPen Institute of Technology, Bontãgo is an intense single or multiplayer 3d real-time strategy game.

Players begin with flags (one color for each player) spaced evenly around the edge of a large disk, called the field, balanced on a fulcrum in the center. Around each flag is a circle representing that player's controlled area. Every few seconds a block appears on each player's cursor. The players must place the blocks somewhere in their controlled areas. Players can place the block at any moment in the allotted time, or can hold it until time is up and the block will fall on its own and be replaced by the next block.
