Campus Life
A student's experience at DigiPen is intense and focused. Located in Redmond, Washington, near the headquarters of Nintendo of America, Microsoft, and other high-tech companies, DigiPen is an institute of approximately 600 students, teachers, and staff. In order to make your transition to life at DigiPen, we offer a range of services for our new and returning students.
- Housing Guide: Finding a place to live is one of the most important steps in transitioning to DigiPen. We have resources to help students find suitable accommodations including sharing a room with other DigiPen students.
- Meal Plan: Through a local caterer, DigiPen offers lunch and dinner meal services for our students.
- Local Info: Located just 15 miles from Seattle, Redmond and the surrounding areas of Bellevue and Kirkland possess many urban conveniences with easy access to the rugged beauty of Washington. We offer an overview of the various urban environments in which students might live and play along with recommendations on what to do when one needs a break.
- Transportation: Students are encouraged to use public transportation; it's an easy, reliable, and safe way to navigate through and between Redmond, Bellevue, Kirkland, and Seattle.
- Advising: DigiPen provides Academic Advisors to all students on campus.
- Medical Services: DigiPen does not currently provide health insurance for its domestic students. While we do not endorse any health insurance policy over another, you might find the following link helpful: Sentry Student Security Plan.
- Student & Related Professional Associations:
- DigiPen Student Association: This group hosts events and provides a forum for DigiPen students.
- Seattle Sputnik: The local professional chapter of the International Game Developers Association (IGDA) meets on a monthly basis in the DigiPen auditorium.
- Digital Eve: This is a professional association dedicated to providing community, networking, practical service, inspiration, and guidance to women in technology.
