Application Process

1) Before Applying

  • Check out our school by reading our website, requesting an information packet, visiting our campus, or meeting with one of our representatives at a local college fair.

2) Applying

  • Once you have decided that you would like to apply, submit an application for admission. You may either apply online, by using the downloadable Application Forms (pdf), or by using our printed application. All methods of application receive the same consideration in our review process.
  • If you choose to apply online, we encourage you to complete a rough draft in paper format, so that you will have all of your information together ahead of time. The online application allows you to submit your personal information and personal statement, so please have that available when applying.

3) Submitting Application Materials

  • Once you have completed an application form, you will need to submit your other materials to complete your application.
  • All application materials should be mailed to:
DigiPen Institute of Technology
Attn: Office of Admissions
5001-150th Ave. N.E.
Redmond, WA 98052
  • Those who would like to pay the application fee online with a credit card must apply online. Those who are paying by check should make checks out to "DigiPen."
  • Official high school and/or college transcripts must be SEALED and mailed by the applicant; the high school or college may send them directly to DigiPen.
  • Official test scores should be sent directly from the testing agency or may be on official high school or college transcripts.
  • Official letters of recommendation must be sealed and mailed by the applicant; those writing the reference letters may also send them directly to DigiPen.

4) Tracking Your Application

  • Once we receive an application, you will receive an email confirmation providing you with a username and password to track your application status online through DigiPen's Student Record System (SRS).
  • Once you have completed your application, you should receive a decision letter back from us within two to four weeks.

5) Receiving the Decision

  • If you are denied admittance, you will receive a refund of $50 of your application fee along with feedback for improving your chances for reapplying in the future.
  • Applicants who choose not to finish their application are not eligible for the refund.

6) Making Your Decision

  • If you are accepted, you will receive an acceptance packet in the mail and you will need to decide whether to enroll or decline your enrollment.
  • The deadline to make your decision will be listed on your acceptance letter.
