Applicants to the 3D Computer Animation program at DigiPen Institute of Technology compete for a limited number of seats. In general, those who exceed the minimum admission requirements are more likely to be accepted.

Minimum Application Requirements for the 3D Computer Animation Program

As a minimum requirement, all applicants must:

• Have achieved proficiency in the English language. Non-native English speakers must provide a minimum TOEFL score of 550 (paper exam) or 213 (computer exam).
• Have completed Grade 12 or the equivalent with a minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA.
• Submit a minimum of ten (10) samples from his or her art portfolio that demonstrate artistic range, in particular figure/animal drawings, character designs, architectural renderings, etc. Please send only copies of your work and not the originals since your submissions will not be returned.

Please keep in mind that these are the MINIMUM requirements; admission to DigiPen's degree programs is highly competitive and is based on academic records and evidence of creative potential. The actual minimum cutoff of students admitted may be higher due to the quality of applications received.
